New building
On December 7 2020 the construction of our new building on the industrial area De Munt in Emmeloord started. Nearly one year later, on December 1 2021, the construction was finalised and we officially moved!
The previous building of DICTATOR Productie B.V. dated from 1965 and had been expanded and modernised several times over the years, but due to the growth of the number of machines, it had reached its limits. The new building, which is built on a plot of almost 13.000 m², is ready for the future.
The spacious hall is divided into a machine hall for production and a hall for the assembly and storage of semi-manufactured products.
The employees are also comfortable in a spacious, modern office. Next to that, there are rooms for product training and, of course, a showroom.
The new building also meets the latest standards in the field of sustainability.
Below the map you will find a short summary and a number of photos of what has been achieved in each week.
Updates per week
Week 31 until 34
During these weeks the summer break took place, so the construction work was suspended.
Week 28
This week, work was carried out on the interior as well as in the vicinity of the building. The area around the building has been paved, so that there are now parking spaces, for example.
Meanwhile, with the exception of the main entrance, the entire exterior of the office area has been completed.
Inside, work has started on the construction of the technical area, the test room and the area for loading/unloading small parcels/ shipments. In addition, the office area is starting to take shape.
Week 26
This week, the walls in the operations office were plastered and the tiles laid. The corridor in the office area has also been tiled, although this is less visible on the photos because a protective mat has been laid on top of it. The walls of the toilets have also been tiled.
In the technical room on the top floor of the office area, all the pipework (electrical and mechanical) is already coming together nicely.
Furthermore, the finishing floors in the attic were poured after the fences were installed and a start was made on the paving outside.
Week 25
The scaffolding along the outer walls has been removed, so that the brick walls are clearly visible. Now that the bricklaying is finished, the windows in the office area can also be placed.
Next to that, the air treatment system, which was installed in the assembly hall last week, has now also been placed in the machine hall.
Week 20
After preparations for pouring the concrete floor have been made since week 17, the time has finally come: 475 m3 of concrete was poured in the assembly hall this week.
After that, a start was made on levelling the concrete floor using quite extraordinary machines. Furthermore, work has also been done on the installation of the ventilation system.
Week 16
The inner façade of the office is now completely finished. A start has been made on bricklaying the outer wall of the office.
In addition, all the insulation for under the concrete floor has now been installed in the halls. The concrete mats and reinforcement are currently being placed.
The installation of the inner walls of the upper floor is in full swing. In the office, the installer is also busy with the installation of the sanitary facilities.
Finally, the window frames from the offices to the hall are currently being sawn out.
Week 15
This week the installation of the inner walls in the office on the top floor started.
In addition, the finishing floor of the office on the ground floor is being put in place.
Meanwhile, the sand in the halls is being levelled. This is necessary in order to be able to apply the insulation evenly. All pipelines running under the concrete floor have been placed and are now properly concealed. The floor insulation in the halls is also being installed.
Finally, the roofers have been busy finishing off the roof.
Week 14
On 9 April, the concrete stairs leading from the hall to the canteen were placed (see photo). In addition, the material for the inner walls of the upper floor was brought in and the walls for the office were set out on the concrete floor.
All drillings for the wells have now been completed and work continues on connecting the pipes. The installation of the underfloor heating, grids and piping in the ground floor office has also been completed.
Week 10
The focus in the past week has been on installing the inner walls and the pipework. Thanks to the placement of the prefab inner walls in the office, the area is now separated from the factory halls. In addition, a start was made on pouring the concrete floors.
Furthermore, work has been done on the roofing. The installation of the roofing was temporarily halted due to the stormy weather, but fortunately the work could be resumed quickly (and nothing has been blown away).
Week 8
The steel framework is now complete, and pallets full of insulation material are being tucked away behind the plating. This lays the foundations for keeping warm in the future – and keeping the heat out in summer.
Underfloor heating is used throughout the building, including in the halls. This ensures a constant temperature and the system can also be used to cool the spaces in summer.
